This policy explains what data the rz.pe registry, operated by IndiaHost Cloud Technologies OPC Private Limited ("we", "us"), collects and how we use it. It covers the registry, WHOIS, RDAP, and API services at rz.pe.
1. What we collect
- Registration data: the name you register, the nameservers you provide, and the contact details tied to your account or reseller profile.
- Technical data: IP addresses, timestamps, and request logs for the registry, API, and websites, used for security, abuse handling, and rate limiting.
- Correspondence: messages you send us, including abuse reports and support requests.
2. How we use it
- To provide and operate the registry and provision your names.
- To screen names and prevent, detect, and act on abuse.
- To secure our systems, apply rate limits, and keep audit records.
- To contact you about your account, a name, or an abuse matter.
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
3. WHOIS and RDAP
rz.pe publishes limited information about registered names over WHOIS and RDAP. By default we keep registrant personal details private and show only operational information such as the name, its status, its nameservers, and a role-based abuse contact. We may disclose fuller details where required by law, a court order, or a valid request from a competent authority.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the registry (such as hosting and DNS infrastructure), with parties handling an abuse or legal matter, or where the law requires it.
5. Retention
We keep registration and audit data for as long as a name is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet security, legal, and abuse-handling needs. Logs are kept for a limited period unless needed for an ongoing matter.
6. Security
We protect data with access controls, IP whitelisting and signed keys for API access, rate limiting, and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk.
7. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to our need to keep certain records for legal and abuse-handling reasons. Contact us at the address below.
8. Children
The registry is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
